SAMPLE READING

“Tarot, Intuition through Interpretation” is written as a companion book to “The Spiritual Flower,” which shows you how to prepare your cards and gives the complete individual interpretation of each card from the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. Please also know that in each of these stories, when I refer to myself, I say “We.” This is because it is not I who gives the answers to the questions asked, for it is a combined effort between Spirit, The Universe, and my Guides that the information is revealed. I am just the medium by which the message is delivered.  Also, that the person looking for answers or information is herein referred to as the “Seeker.” 

Sample Reading for Michael

Michael is a man in his late 50’s who is a photographer by profession and a very good photographer at that.  He has either written an article, or had photographs in every science magazine of our time.  Well traveled, his articles have taken him around the world.  Extremely knowledgeable and interesting, his stories always took on a quality that made you feel like you had experienced the same encounters that he had.  He spoke very vividly about his exploits, and the people that came to listen to his stories were from all walks of life.  Most of those found him very fascinating, to say the least. 

When we first met Michael, he had just come back from a trip to Australia where he had been sent to do an article for National Explorer Magazine.  While he was there he had connected with some Aboriginal natives and the Medicine Man had given Michael a sacred stone to bring back to America.  Michael could not explain the sensations he got when he sat holding that stone.  He tells us that he gets floods of information and the pictures are very vivid, and after putting the stone back in its display case, the pictures still seem to come to him. 

Since that trip, Michael has dreams that appear to be flashes but these flashes leave him “shaken.”  He has never experienced anything like this in the past but currently, things that happen on a daily basis, all lead back to the dream he had the night previously. We advise him that he needs to start to write these things down and date them so that in the future he can read back over these impressions and see the information that he is supposed to be getting here.  In a dream state, everything that is shown comes in bits and pieces and it is up to us to try and decipher these flashes of intuition. Dating these visions when they manifest also validates your insights. We explain that we never know when these “types of things” are going to present themselves in our lives.  Some people never experience anything of this nature.

We smudge ourselves with sage to cleanse the space and bless the work that is to be done. We pray together so we can receive the correct information to advise Michael on his path. Please know that when you are willing to let your higher powers work for you and you ask for their help and intervention, these powers will lead you through life. You will not walk through unscathed for we are all here to learn and only through tests, trials, and adversity do we grow and go forward

HIS LAYOUT

Looking over this layout we get the impression that we are in the presence of someone headed on a path to something “greater than most.”  Obviously, the medicine man “saw” this in Michael, but Michael had never “seen” it in himself. 

The Star card indicates that the “powers that be” have decided to “smile” on this individual.  It appears that Michael will finally be able to get those doors that have previously been closed to him, open and available. The Star symbolizes guiding forces.  The great Stars sudden appearance in the sky suggests that a new vision of wholeness has risen from the depths and will soon be available to consciousness.

“In the past it appears you were encountering resistance after resistance,” we advise..

“I sure was,” he confides, “and I sure was amazed when I got the telephone call to go on this assignment.”

“Now we know that you had asked for an exciting assignment right?” we inquire.

“Well yes, but this was really exciting,” he confides, “and I’ll never forget the experience.”

“By this card showing up first, we indicate that this was a very important step for you. This further indicates that you were “chosen” for this experience,” we advise.

“Wow. I sure didn’t look at it quite in those terms, but wow. Now it all makes sense,” he confirms.

The Temperance card offers him the “gift of timing” and here indicates that this is why he received the assignment instead of someone else. She personifies the coming into consciousness of something new arising from the deep unconscious.

“There are aspects here that represent your highest psychic ability and adaptation. Temperance represents the Alchemist Archetype and has the ability to convert some form of matter into an altered expression of itself. There is also a heavy shadow aspect,” we advise, “and by what you have just told us, please know that the misuse of this power could also bring you down. Please use it with pure intention as well as caution.”

“The Medicine Man as much as gave me the same information, and I take responsibility in the messages I receive as well as the information I give out,” Michael confides.

“That’s a good rule to be in service to,” we advise.

The King of Swords represents the Medicine Man and his energy is heavy and overpowering, and it’s all around Michael.

“We can feel the Medicine Mans’ energy all around you,” we advise.

“I can feel him too,” he confides, “especially when I hold this stone that he gave me.”

“Everyone is provided with enlightenment when they are Spiritually ready, and obviously the Medicine Man sensed that this was the “right time” for you Michael,” we advise.  “Are you afraid of these pictures and impressions?”  

“Yes, and I do not totally comprehend why all of this is happening to me.  I guess that I will receive all of the understanding I need when the time is right. Is that correct?” he inquires. 

“Yes. Please know that the requirement here is for you to start some type of journal or journals. Quite possibly a journal for what transpires everyday, and one for your dreams, and another for taking what you have received and how you apply the information you’ve been given, as well as to whom you have given the information to,” we advise.

“Will that really be of help to me?” he inquires.

“Absolutely, for you can see how those dreams make you aware of things that you never perceived before. They will help you to see clearly what it is that you have been sent here to do,” we advise.

“Let me understand this, you mean I will understand why I am here and what I’m supposed to do by remembering my dreams?” he inquires.

“Yes, for it is how you utilize the information you receive and how you apply that information to the situation or situations presenting themselves. Remember we are here to give back to others, what it is that we have received on their behalf. Also, please know that you will never be given a picture or information that will not apply somewhere in the very near future,” we advise. “Have you already been able to help someone else with the pictures you’ve been shown?”

“Yes I have, at least I gave out the information I was given on that persons behalf.  I just do not know how they applied it in their life,” Michael confides.

“And you might never know that answer for you are merely the messenger, nothing more. You have delivered the message given to you from the Universe and that is all that is required on your behalf.  Also, please get into the habit of writing and dating the impressions you receive for as you start to acknowledge your Divine connection, the information will come easier to you,” we advise. “As these life situations start to show up, make sure that you go back and date things as they appear to you, as well as what reaction was received as to the information given. You always need to go back and re-read the journals to be able to put all of the information together,” we advise, “for when in a dream or day-dream state, we only receive bits and pieces and it is up to us to connect the dots.”

“I have given myself a suggestion that when I get a vivid dream that I jump up and with a large pad of paper, I just start to write. I do have to tell you that in the morning, sometimes it is hard to comprehend what it is that I wrote,” Michael confides.

“Maybe you might like to consider a small tape recorder that you would place at the head of your bed. That way you do not have to jump up to write, just grab the tape recorder and start to record what you’re seeing,” we advise

“Boy, that’s sure a good idea…..and I will give it some thought,” he confides. “I guess it would make it easier than trying to figure out what it is that I wrote.

“Absolutely…..and you will be able to hear key words that will eventually allow your mind to access your subconscious and you will be able to actually hear the conversation or see the images.  When you acknowledge that you are receiving the information and trying to make “sense of it all,” you will be shown what it is that you are “supposed” to be seeing.  Just know that your higher powers are working here on your behalf.  Let them do what they are supposed to do and do not try to force the pictures.   Over a period of time, when you decide to read back over what you have written, you should see clearly what it is that you are being given, and enlightenment and understanding will follow,” we advise.

“You make it sound so simple,” he says.

“It is simple. The problem many seers have is they try to make it more than it is. If you were given information for someone else, you will be shown where and to whom it applies. Something they are talking about in a conversation, or something they physically do will be the trigger that rolls that information out,” we advise.

“I think that I would feel strange walking up to someone I didn’t know and tell them I had a dream about them and yada yada yada. Are people accepting of this kind of intrusion?” he inquires.

“Sometimes yes…..and sometimes no. We’ve been in many similar positions where we have walked up to someone in the market, restaurant, church or parking lot and told them something we received. We do not go out with the intention to see entities hanging out around others. We go out to take care of our own business but if something of this nature shows up, you are required as a messenger to deliver the information,” we advise.

“I comprehend,” Michael says.

The Magician gives gifts of mental energy and the power to “create something new” and further tells us that this is a dynamic individual. This card symbolizes a journey to the underworld of our deepest selves and initiates a process of self-realization.

“You are now being given the power to transform your world,” we advise.

“I am aware that all I have to do is mentally ask for something and there it is and this did not begin to happen until after the time that I spent with the Aborigines,” Michael confides. “It almost feels like I have the power of God within my two hands.”

“Well in essence you do, but we will enlighten you more as we go on with the reading,” we advise.

“I have to tell you that every cell in my body screamed at me to go to Australia.  This story was for National Explorer Magazine and my boss said he needed someone with special talent to do this article.  The editor told me that he had contacted other photojournalists in regard to this assignment, but each was previously committed.  I actually got the assignment just because I was in the “right place at the right time,” Michael confides.

“Nothing wrong with that,” we advise, “after all, we end up experiencing what is needed to advance our own spirituality.”

The 2 of Swords (reversed) indicate that in the past, this Seeker had no move available to him.
           
The 6 of Wands tell us that he has been through a very trying period of time.

“These last two cards tell us that in the past you were trapped and not able to make any moves….even to get out of your own way,” we advise, “and sense that you are moving out of this time frame which has been very perplexing for you.  It also appears that you went through a pretty long dry spell prior to this assignment. Is this a correct impression?”

“Absolutely and for the longest time I could not rub two nickels together and make 5 cents ….really a dry spell in my career. I almost was at a point that I thought I needed to get more schooling or retraining or something as my career seemed to be in a state of suspended animation….stalled as it were,” Michael confides.

“This was Divine intervention for we perceive that if you had gotten involved in another assignment, you would not have been available for this one,” we advise. “Do you see what we mean?”

“Well, I do now….and thank you for pointing that out. All of this is starting to make some sense,” he says.

“Absolutely, and it is upward and onward from this time forward,” we advise. “No looking back.”

“I can do that,” Michael tells us.

The Queen of Wands (reversed) represents a lady who will give him opposition and by her description, Michael knows that this is his sister, Victoria.  She seems to have a problem every time one of his articles gets published.  She is vindictive, jealous, and revengeful.

“Michael, it appears that Victoria will exhibit another hissy fit unless you understand how jealous she is of you. And as long as you are aware that this is coming, you can side step the problem before it arrives,” we advise.

“Victoria has thrown hissy fits all of her life,” Michael confides, “and I’m sure she has a few left over to use.  I just hate to be on the receiving end.  Her husband just looks on like he’s glad someone else is in the line of fire instead of himself.”

By the introduction of the Chariot, we see that Michael is ready to go over, under, around, or through anything that blocks his forward progress. The Chariot indicates the outer journey and represents the vehicle for our self-discovery. We learn about ourselves through our involvement with others and through meeting the challenges of our environment. Every journey offers numerous opportunities.  A new vitality is available and a new cycle of development begins for the Chariot connects fate, destiny and transformation. This signals a time of initiation.

“It appears that you are ready for initiation into a higher realm of thinking or consciousness, and this is what the Medicine Man saw in you,” we advise.

“I think you’re right, but you would have had a hard time convincing me of this concept prior to my going to Australia,” he confides.

Looking at the last four cards or the cards of the future, we see that this man is destined for “something great.”

The 9 of Pentacles indicate accomplishment.

“Everyone seems to be expecting something great to come from you,” we advise.  “Are you aware of this?”

“I actually expect great things from myself, and will not settle for anything less,” he confides. “I’ve actually seen myself giving lectures but as of yet, I’m not exactly sure about what subject or where.  In my dreams I see a very large auditorium. It’s funny because I never wanted to be famous and still don’t.  I hate being in the limelight…..just not really comfortable on stage.”

“Be patient,” we advise, “and you will be shown exactly what you are required to do. As for being famous, this will come in time and you will feel comfortable by the time you get to that stage. We also see a large auditorium, just in case you were wondering about our impressions.”

“Great,” says Michael, “I’m glad you see it too. Sometimes I think that I’m crazy when I say that I can see something but you just used the same terminology so I feel better.”

“If you cannot see it for yourself you cannot bring that energy or experience into your reality,” we advise, “so please know this and allow it to work for your highest and greatest good.”

 The 9 of Cups indicates success, victory, and well-being and is a “wish” card representing that some long desired wish will be “granted.” 

“It appears that you will be able to attain your deepest desires as it suggests that you have a wish coming true,” we advise.

“Thank you,” he tells us, “as I have definite things that I see for myself in the future. It sure is nice to know that they will be available and most likely attainable.”

The 10 of Pentacles indicate that there will be a gain of wealth and prestige.

“There’s that possibility of being famous,” we advise. “Please realize that we cannot provide you with a time frame for this to happen in.  Just believe in yourself and know that it will manifest just the way you see it.”

“Oh I guess that I can actually feel the momentum building,” Michael confides.

“Just remember, go with the flow and make sure that you go to any functions you are invited to go to. Doors open for us in mysterious ways,” we advise.

“Thank you for the advice and I will remember it. I’ve turned down invitations in the past that I kicked myself in the butt because doors opened for someone else instead of me and I promise to take advantage of whatever presents itself,” he confides.

And the World card as the outcome would indicate that this Seeker should dedicate himself to his own path, and that he is in a position to manifest his own destiny.  The World represents The Universe, realization, developed freedom, communication, journeys, and a possibility to become famous due to creativity.

“A self-realized person sets forth to create a new society, but his inner illumination will inevitably shine forth in such a way that it draws others into it’s orbit, for this is a continuous state of becoming,” we advise. “Can you understand what we are saying?”

“When it requires that you become a dancer, you are in a position to create your own dance.”

“In other words, see what I want for myself and not let anything or anybody deter me from my future design?” Michael asks.

“Absolutely right, my dear,” we advise.

IMPRESSIONS:

Michael is a very sensitive man and spending time with the Aborigines has opened up his “powers of perception.”  We tell him that he was “led” there for a reason.  Nothing comes into our lives for no reason at all.  Everything that we encounter ends up being a growing or learning experience as that experience was arranged by our higher powers to learn a specific lesson that would promote our spiritual growth.

Also, the energy around him at this time is so very positive that anything that he touches right now will bear fruit for him.  This Medicine Man he encountered must have really taken a liking to Michael otherwise he would not have given him this wonderful stone. The stone was to be used as a “tool” for his personal development.  Others who might hold this stone would get different impressions, pictures, and messages than Michael, or perhaps, nothing at all. 

At the end of the session, Michael confides that he is “more at peace about what is being presented.”  Michael leaves, telling us that he will stay in touch and let us know how he is doing from time to time.  He confides that he really needed a different “opinion, impression, or way of looking at these things,” and now “is not afraid.”

LESSON:

People tell us all the time that they always remember all of their dreams but that is truly not the case.  Over periods of time, those things that we were shown become less vivid and sometimes the message gets altered when we do not write these things down or record them on a tape when we first experience them, so this becomes a very important part of our “Spiritual development.”

Also, Michael is learning to trust the impressions and visions he is receiving and this will cause him to look at any and all relationships in depth, and let go of any that no longer serve him for this is a time of transformation.
